Our Process
1. Quotation
We can provide you with a free, no-obligation quotation based on the rough measurements or a sketch of the design.
2. Design
A bespoke 3D CAD model will be provided, allowing you to visualise the proposed staircase and to make any adjustments.
3. Manufacture
Our expert manufacturing team will begin constructing your staircase in our workshop. Why not come and see it being made?
4. Installation
Once ready, our installers will visit your property to fit your new staircase, ensuring minimal disruption and mess.
Design & Manufacturing
Once we have your measurements, we are able to quickly model the staircase using our CAD software. As with most construction jobs, Building Regulations also determine the underlying design of all staircases. Even in the most awkward of situations, our expert team has managed to design a regulation-adhering staircase without compromising its aesthetics.
To ensure a precision finish, we automate much of the manufacturing process by utilising our state of the art CNC machines. Once machined, all components are manually inspected in order to identify any flaws and are perfected if required. Depending on the design, most staircases will be assembled by hand before being delivered to site.

Spraying & Prefinishing
Here at The Stair Shop, we have built a dedicated onsite spraying and prefinishing plant alongside our workshop, allowing us to provide all of your staircase components in a variety of finishes.
In addition to off-the-shelf colours, we also offer a bespoke colour matching service. This means we are able to match staircase components to a specific colour sample, resulting in a staircase that seamlessly blends in with the existing decor within your property.

Delivery
Once your new staircase parts have passed final inspection, they will be carefully loaded into a van and transported to site on a prearranged date.
Since our workshop is based in the heart of Cheshire, our survey and installation teams will cover most of the North West. However, for supply only jobs, our drivers are able to deliver staircases nationwide.
Installation
As well as our expert design and manufacturing staff, we also have two dedicated installation teams. Our friendly fitters are trained to perform both staircase renovations and new staircase installations to the very highest of standards. Our fitters will respect your property throughout the duration of the installation process by ensuring they do not damage any existing fittings and by tidying up any mess before leaving.
